How Much Does It Cost to Stay in the Commune Each Year?

Zhang Mading1 min read

We have built many models to estimate this figure. As early as 2012 we asked actuaries to calculate it for us, but unfortunately the results differed greatly from reality. The reason is that actuaries tend to make their calculations from existing insurance data, without taking account of the characteristics of a brand-new thing.

The Anti-Cancer Commune differs from insurance: its user base and its operating mechanism are both different from modern insurance, so the conditions for an accurate estimate are not yet in place. More data is needed for observation. The actuaries' advice is that a membership base of more than 500,000 and at least five years of observation are required before a relatively accurate figure becomes possible.

At the same time, how much a member has to spend depends on the platform's risk-control capability (not on the number of members), on the average health condition of the members on the platform, and on the level of the benefit amount and the scope of coverage.

In any case, in theory the Commune costs considerably less than insurance with the same coverage — at the very least, there are no sales costs. The Commune's fragmented payments also place the least financial pressure on everyone. The purpose of founding the Commune is to provide the most cost-effective form of protection there is.

However, the Anti-Cancer Commune reminds everyone not to use the Commune as a substitute for insurance, but as a supplement to it.

The Commune does not collect fees in advance, which removes any worry. If you think the Commune is not worthwhile, just leave. If in the future the pressure feels too great, just leave. At least during your time in the Commune you enjoyed protection with unparalleled cost-effectiveness.
