Is the Anti-Cancer Commune a Scam and a Trap?

Zhang Mading2 min read

As the 'crowd-mutual aid model' pioneered by the Anti-Cancer Commune develops, our influence is growing. At the same time, attacks against us can be expected.

In the future, we may keep seeing articles claiming that the Anti-Cancer Commune is a scam or a trap.

In fact, over these five years the Anti-Cancer Commune has always been fighting this accusation. Our entire set of rules is a response to this question:

— Free to join. That shows we are not in it to grab money.

— No prepayment. That shows we are not in it to grab money.

— Leave at any time. That shows we give you complete freedom of choice and do not hold people.

— No commission, no fees. Free of any conflict of interest.

— Public finances. We even post the bank's monthly statement directly.

— Third-party review and a public disclosure system. That shows we do not collude to fabricate cases.

— Transparency. The founder's and the team's information is public; even ID cards have been disclosed. We want to show sincerity.

— Tripartite fund management. We are moving forward with introducing foundation management of the funds.

— Strict rights and obligations. Proof that we want the Commune to last.

This whole series of measures is meant to rid us of accusations like 'scam'. Of course, it is also very easy to accuse and criticise us — if you want to condemn someone, you can always find a pretext. In the process we may have trodden on some people's interests and stirred some envy, so attacks will arise. As the Commune faces many attacks in the foreseeable future, we only hope that members and people of conscience can understand our original intention, and our efforts to achieve the goal of protection for everyone.

We face all attacks calmly.
