What Ultimately Determines the Contribution Amount of Members on a Mutual Aid Platform?
To sum up, the contribution amount of members on a mutual aid platform ultimately depends on two variables:
1. Total rights (there are actually many factors in this, such as the total mutual aid amount and the cut-off age, so "total rights" is a broad term)
2. Incidence rate
Contribution per person = total rights × incidence rate
Suppose each person in the community has 300,000 yuan in rights and the incidence rate is 1%. Then the total contribution per person is 300,000 × 0.01 = 3,000 yuan.
It has nothing to do with the number of people. But in the early days, because mutual aid platforms set a waiting period, the number of people participating in cost-sharing was far greater than the number of people entitled to aid, so it looked very low.
