I Know How Formidable Regulation Is, So I Spare No Effort on Legal Compliance
I worked at an insurance company for four years and a securities firm for four years. During that time the various systems and inspections the companies had for legal compliance left a deep impression on me. In 2011, when I organized group-buy securities-account openings at the firm, I was even investigated by the securities regulator (it was really just low-commission account opening, which is very common today). The feeling back then is still vivid: as if I were about to be thrown in prison—terrified beyond words.
So legal compliance is what I have thought about most for Anti-Cancer Commune. I thought for a long time before designing its system and then upheld it without wavering, even at great cost. In these designs, the following points deserve emphasis:
— Free to join, zero prepayment. Anti-Cancer Commune collects not a single cent in advance, avoids a capital pool as much as possible, and as much as possible does not create the concept of a “premium.” Cost-sharing is entirely post-event; if no one falls ill, not a cent is needed.
— We have achieved a complete hands-off approach to money. Our refusal to touch money is utterly thorough: when members top up, the money goes directly to a foundation. You can top up one cent and see for yourself—the recipient of the funds is a public welfare foundation. Payments to aid recipients are likewise made by the foundation. The Commune does not touch the money at any point.
— Complete transparency. We have set up a dedicated “Transparency and Disclosure” section where everything members care about is publicly posted. I even publicly posted my own ID card to demonstrate our determination.
— Separation of powers in operations. At sensitive points in our operations we bring in third parties to participate—third-party oversight, member oversight, and witnessing—so the Commune alone does not have the final say.
— Maintaining communication. Our forum is very active and we keep close communication with all members, responding to every topic members care about.
— Ensuring authenticity. Every Anti-Cancer Commune case goes through third-party review, public disclosure, and witnessing by local members. All figures the Commune publishes are true and can withstand any inspection.
— Risk warnings. In our terms and on our forum we have given ample risk warnings, emphasizing that Anti-Cancer Commune is not insurance and cannot replace insurance.
Through these measures we strive to be as legally compliant as possible. We have stood the test, refusing tens of millions in financing rather than change our current model. We know well that only legally compliant innovation can make our Century Commune possible and realize our original purpose. We hope members and all sectors of society will continue to oversee us.
