Not Every Case Can Receive Aid—What Matters Most Is Treating Everyone Alike
Members sometimes complain when their own application is denied aid. That is regrettable, but two points should be kept in mind:
1. When the Commune refuses aid, who benefits? Certainly not the Commune—we have no interest to gain; objectively it reduces spending for all members.
2. The Commune's rules were published long ago. Even if some are unreasonable, they apply to all members and are therefore fair.
Even I myself feel very disappointed in such situations, but the rules must be made known to all members; if we did not follow the rules, we could not answer to all members.
Improving the rules and making them entirely reasonable takes time, and no matter how hard we try, perfection is impossible. I hope members will understand.
