I Want to Build a Forum for Oversight and Rights Protection in Critical-Illness Fundraising and Mutual Aid—What Do You Think?

KangAi Commune was the earliest critical-illness mutual aid organization, and the road has been arduous every step of the way. Today, on the one hand we are gratified to see mutual aid grow from a single tree into a forest; on the other hand we are worried about the lack of oversight in the field of critical-illness fundraising. This field has no shortage of problems—including at our own KangAi Commune, and at mutual aid platforms launched by some big companies. Many of them harm the public interest and are disappointing, which also poses risks to the healthy development of the industry and undermines the stability of the rights and interests of all mutual aid members. Hence this idea: to build a platform where netizens can discuss mutual aid, evaluate mutual aid platforms, report rights violations, and fairly and objectively help netizens whose interests have been harmed defend their rights—forming a spontaneous oversight mechanism.

Of course, although I am the founder of KangAi Commune, this platform should operate independently of the Commune and be fair and objective, and it would criticize the Commune just the same if the Commune did something wrong.

What do you all think?
