A Reminder to Members: Everything You Spend at KangAi Commune Could Be Lost Entirely
In legal terms, contributions to mutual aid at KangAi Commune count as donations, so there is of course no question of investment returns. But some people may regard fulfilling their obligations at KangAi Commune as an investment in protection. If so, we must responsibly remind you that this investment could be lost entirely: a member may fail to receive an aid payout, and may also be unable to get back the contributions already paid.
Fundamentally, this is determined by the characteristics of KangAi Commune's mutual aid model.
1. Contributions already paid at KangAi Commune have already been transferred to recipients (the Commune deducts a 2 percent service fee); the receipts and bank records have been publicly disclosed, and it is very unlikely that we could recover the money from recipients.
2. As for the aid payout itself, it cannot be obtained if the member did not meet the conditions for joining, or if the situation falls short of the circumstances in which we provide aid, or if there was concealment or fraud in the process, or if there are other force majeure circumstances. KangAi Commune adheres to a system of public disclosure: every case of aid must withstand the scrutiny of members, since otherwise we would be failing in our duty to the other members. So the standards will be applied strictly, without accommodation.
So members are reminded to understand KangAi Commune's operating model, to understand the preconditions for receiving assistance and the rules of the commune they have joined, and to decide on that basis whether to stay or go.
