Why It Is Inevitable That KangAi Commune Is Considered a Scam (Comprehensive Version)

Zhang Mading2 min read

KangAi Commune spares no effort on transparency and has done a great deal, yet it is still considered a scam. To sum up, there are several reasons:

1. Fundamentally, the vast majority of people in the Commune pay money over the long term, while only a few receive aid. So most people are doubtful, and a certain proportion will think the Commune is a scam.

2. Recipients are understandably unwilling to publicize the Commune, and it is also very common for them not to come forward to vouch for it.

3. Some think the Commune is a charity, come seeking help, and find that we cannot help people who are already ill—so they spread word that the Commune is a scam.

4. Some come seeking help, find they do not meet the Commune's aid rules, and are disappointed to the point of resentment.

5. Some do not understand the Commune's rules and later find they differ greatly from what they imagined.

6. Service is lacking, customer support is slow, product descriptions are unclear, and so on.

7. Mutual aid platform contributions inevitably rise, and members feel they have been deceived.

8. Missing a task, then having to make up 10 times the mutual aid payment.

9. Being charged a review fee when applying for aid.

10. When seeking help themselves, discovering their case is handled as a special situation (such as low-malignancy cancer rights, or a discount during the transition period), so even after receiving aid they feel dissatisfied.

11. The investigation uncovers a problem of dishonesty, the review fee is not refunded, and they become dissatisfied or even hateful toward the Commune.

12. Discovering that the Commune charges review fees, WeChat payment handling fees, and other costs, and thinking the Commune must be making a fortune behind the scenes.

13. A sick mentality: "I'm already ill, and you still make me do this and that—deliberately making things hard for me." They are unhappy even when they get the money.

In response to these situations, we need to reflect and improve. Some can be resolved. A good system turns bad people into good people; a bad system turns good people into bad people. A good system must be formulated from a certain height and be able to withstand the test of time.
