Understanding the Logic of Mutual Aid Regulation to Advance the Century Commune

Zhang Mading1 min read

Mutual aid is an undertaking that benefits both the country and the people, and mutual protection is a reasonable model and a technological innovation. No one will ban it casually. But as its influence grows, regulation really is necessary. Therefore, in advancing toward the Century Commune, Anti-Cancer Commune must operate under regulation and coexist with it peacefully.

So what worries regulators most? My understanding is:

1. Promising rigid payouts and then being unable to pay. (That is why the word “payout” cannot be used on our platform.)

2. Accumulating large sums of money, with the operators' moral hazard and running off with the funds.

3. Disrupting the insurance business and bringing instability to the industry.

All three could bring the risk of mass incidents, which is what the government least wants to see.

So we must handle these three points carefully. Give adequate risk warnings, properly place funds, design rules reasonably, and clarify the boundary with insurance. Only in this way can we gain regulatory recognition, and only then will the Century Commune have a policy foundation.

On the other hand, since we are not after immediate profits and have no intention of running off with the funds, let us understand regulation as a kind of protection for us operators.
