The Commune's System Must Ensure That Honest Members Are Not Harmed by the Few Who Are Dishonest

Zhang Mading1 min read

Honest people who do good should be rewarded, or at least should not suffer losses; dishonest people who do bad things should be punished, and certainly should not be rewarded.

Only this makes for a positive system.

The Commune's system must conform to this principle to have a foundation for sustainability.

Suppose a speculator who does not meet the Commune's aid criteria applies, and their application is approved—then a dishonest person has been rewarded. If a speculator who does not meet the criteria applies and is not approved, but there is no penalty at all, that too is a poor outcome—in fact it is a form of encouragement.

This is a negative system. As an individual case it does not matter, but its demonstration effect amplifies the bad influence, encouraging more dishonesty and wrongdoing, and ultimately harming honest members.
